Ran my 2014 RCSB Silverado in the 1/8th last Thursday night

It's a 5.3L with 3.42 rear. I was running E85 also and the truck is 100% stock. Sorry no video but I have time slip.

I only ran it twice.

.103 r.t

2.063 60ft

9.231 e.t

76.5 mph

98 degrees outside temp

Not bad for a stock truck. If conditions were the same it should go 14.3 a 14.4 in the quarter mile. I'm happy with it.

That's faster than I thought it would run.

Only reason I took the truck to the track is because it felt oddly quick for a full size. I'm gonna throw a few parts at it and go back to the track. I'm be shooting for a 8.9 and I will be more than happy.

Nice! Yeah I would think it could be easy to dip into the 13's with a couple of mods.

I think these trucks are faster than they feel. First off, they're so smooth and quiet but when you get on the throttle, the speedo seems to climb pretty quick. I'm really glad to be back in a truck but I won't lie and tell you I'm not missing my 6.4L 470hp SRT Charger for the "play" factor.

I hear ya.. I miss my G8! That's why I opted for the 6.2L 3.73 powertrain. I needed a lil "play" factor! :driving:

You know.. you can put 2 identical trucks side by side at the track and you won't have the same numbers and times.. no matter how accurate you may be at the start.

I was coming from a 2010 Camaro SS 6 speed... So that's why I went with the Regular cab short bed LT with the 5.3 and 3:42... Couldn't get the 3.73 with the Reg Cab...bummer.

I'm going the sport truck route since GM doesn't have one currently available. I was really happy with my time slip for being 100% stock and almost 100 degrees outside.

On that run I raced a 1991 mustang gt 5 speed that had full bolt ons. He did run a 8.5 but he had to work for it. My reaction time helped me put about 1 1/2 cars on him right out of the hole since I left the lights with a .105 to his .354 . We ran the same 60' so we both hooked pretty good for street tires. He caught me at about 2/3rd's track and put about a 1 1/2 cars on me at the finish line. When I spoke to him after he was shocked the truck was stock. He said he was praying when he went for 3rd he didn't miss a gear because that race was being filmed by his friend and was gonna be on youtube.

I only had 800 miles on the truck then when I ran it. Its starting to come alive even more with about 1700 miles on it now.

I will be lowering , adding cal-trac's , doing the intake / tune and most likely an electric exhaust cut out before the muffler.

Truck should be done by next month so I will post back my new time slips then.

RCSB -- Removed spare, trailer hitch and all the junk from the cab. Crossed the scales at 4,900 even. I weigh 230.

DRs, caltracs, LTs, E85, tune. 13.9 @ 98.5 with ~2,500 DA.

I have the same truck with the same 3.42 in the rear. Before I lifted her up and put bigger tires and wheels on her I always felt she was a 14sec ride. I have owned Camaros and Mustangs and raced them to death. My 14 silverado from day one felt just as fast to 80mph as the 2001 Mustang GT 5speed I owned. That car stock was a 14 sec ride.
