Getting ready to order a new Denali - Need some things cleared up

no vibrations here...even with level and 33" toyos, truck rides awesome

headlights aren't bad at all, I was worried before I bought mine because all

of the non sense on here. are they the best? hell no, the worst? hell no. my old

c5z06 headlights we're much worse and it was a 52k dollar car new.

magnetic ride on the Denali is sweet, add in the 6.2 and 8 speed and it's an awesome combo. I'd say

go for the Denali if cash allows

The Denali instrument cluster is kind of cool. The 6.2 engine is REALLY cool, I highly recommend it.

Lane departure should be seriously considered. FYI, it's seat vibrate feature is tied into the park assist.

I just traded in a loaded SLT for a Denali. Same truck other than guages, leather type and stitch, black wood vs brown wood trim, painted bumpers, grill, similar rims, and more looks from public. 2014 so no mag suspension. ...but I have z71 off road option which is not an option on 2015 Denali anymore cause of shocks...but I think if you add the all terrain sr-a tires it adds hill decent? You can add the transfer skid plate from z71 for $30 if needed. also the 2015 Denali comes standard with a spray in bedliner with "Denali" in it.

And I could not get fire/Victory red.

Thanks guys. Just put the order in for a Denali and the dealer faxed me back the Order Workbench. I opted for the 5.3 instead of the 6.2. I know the 6.2 is awesome (I drove one) but can't justify it since I am not hauling anything that heavy.

Now the wait.....

It is a 4X4. No hill decent. That comes with the off road package which I did not opt for.

#EXSlider400, I am getting the AT tires though.

Hill descent comes with the trailer brake package, if you ordered that. I ordered trailer brakes on my 15 Denali and was surprised to see the hill descent there with the other switches. The dealer told me it was part of that package. Not sure if that's a new thing or not, but it's there.

No.

Hill descent comes with Z71. It's active only at very slow speeds.

It's different from the grade braking that works when highway trailering.

I ordered my 2014 Denali and was worried about the vibration as well.

I have no vibration problems at all. My headlights at night are so bad I had the high beams on for 35 miles and no one ever flashed me. Big disappointment in my opinion. The radio is a big disappointment for reception. I have severe nerve damage in my legs so I opted for the Denali for a softer ride. I think I messed up adding the Z71 package because it replaces the Bilstein shocks with Rancho's, something you don't have to worry about. I do think the SLT I drove rode better then my Denali. May be the tires or shocks, just not 100% sure. I would highly recommend putting a bra on the front bumper due to chips on the painted front bumper.

Best of luck! Hope you enjoy it when it comes in.

According to my owner's manual, and the button beneath the infotainment screen, I have hill descent control, and I do not have z71, I have the MRC suspension that now comes with the Denali.

Yours is a 15 (thanks for challenging....seems it's a difference between 14 and 15; )

The 14 order guide shows 1500 Denali/Z71 with rancho's and hill descent

The 15 order quide shows z71 not available on 1500 Denali and JHD (hill descent) standard on 1500 Denali.

You got JHD because it's standard on 1500 Denali, not because you ordered trailering.

(FWIW, on the HD 2015's Z71 is available, and JHD is 'included and only available with Z71')

Ahh, OK. Thanks for clarifying.

    • I'm not sure if this should be a new topic, let me know if it's out of place. This my first post. Thanks 85077522 - AC Delco GM Genuine Parts Brake Master Cylinders. Anyone else had to replace this brake master cylinder yet. I didn't do any brake work, it looks like new parts and I've had the truck for about 4k miles, 119k total miles.  When it started to throw codes I did the calibrations with a bidirectional scanner and got the codes to clear but they came back so I did the routine; base bleed, automated bleed and final base bleed. All that with Bosch ES16-32N fluid (please look it up). That seemed to fix it but 100ish miles later it failed again so I ran the same process but with a pressure bleeder this time and got the same results, fixed for 100ish miles. The original fluid looked bad and I thought I got most of it out, it could've been the wrong fluid. The codes; P25A2, C05B0-00, C2A1B. I can get them to clear but not for long. The C05B0 indicates a leak in the front circuit (which is bone dry) so I'm thinking of doing the bleed process on that front again today and I don't know if that's taboo to just do the front but at this point it seems like it's worth the try anyway. The new master cylinder/module unit is supposed to get here today. But now I'm pretty much convinced this install is over my head. I've called several shops and some mobile guys that I know but this thing is like radio active material, scary wise. I did get 2 local shops say they should be able to do it, one says he has the SPS2 programing capability. And with the battery disconnected is there supposed to be pedal resistance, mine is to the floor, then if I pump it I can get some resistance. I had a panic stop prior to this issue which may have contributed from what I read. And on the first attempt to bleed and hydraulic test the scanner listed things to look for and one was any gaps between the pad and rotors which I did notice on the RF corner and I removed the outer pad (where the gap was) cleaned it and the hardware and didn't see a gap after that but will re-check it. I read that if pushing the caliper pistons back then you're supposed to open the bleeder so as to not push fluid backwards into the abs module or it will damage it. If that's true then that's also a possibility from the previous owner having the brakes changed before I got it. I'm using an XTool ip500 scanner. Any suggestions, questions and comments welcome.
    • Next Friday will be my 6 week point from my right knee replacement.  The surgeon says it will be fine if I choose to drive after this checkup.  I know I could drive now but best to do as my surgeon (and my wife) tell me.  Richard compared being 62 to 72.  I remember when I was in my early 60's I was experiencing slow but regular decline in my mobility.  Thanks to good medical support,  i continued to fight the speed and spread of this decline. During my 60's I worked on non-surgical methods and just when I turned 70, my orthopedic surgeon recommended joint replacements.  In a little over a year, I had one shoulder and both knees replaced.  This hasn't been a terribly fun experience, but worth the discomfort as my future mobility health trajectory has reversed.  It is a treat to now be watching my mobility. balance and confidence steadily improve!
    • Grommets with the right cement should be perfectly fine.
    • This is going to take allot of Assembly
    • Why do they have the gas 10l80 opening at 145?
