I have used K&N with oil for 14 years going back to my 2000 Trans am, and now in my 14 sierra. How do you think the filter is suppose to work? The oil traps the dust.

You are the lucky one who doesn't over oil it or mess up his sensors or maf.

Read the directions and there will be no issues, my friends use them and no issues either. I am sure if a person were to soak it in oil yes it could cause issues, but just make sure the filter is only damp, I put mine in the sun after I use the oil, helps it absorb quicker.

I got the point where it wasn't worth it. There are better filters out there, but I could be wrong so my bad.
