New to forum - Looking at new silverado

I wanted to say hello from So. Cal. and yes we split the state in 2 :) . So I've been looking for another full size truck and can't make up my mind as to which one to purchase. The last Chevy silverado I owned was in 2000 I purchased new and had next to 0 issues with the truck the 5+ years and 100K+ miles I put on it. I then purchased 2 Nissan Titan's which have been an excellent truck for me. I want something new and Nissan has had the same truck for 10+ years now. So I've been really looking at the 2014 Chevy double cabs, but haven't been able to find the one I want. My kids are grown up and all drive so I don't really need the CC anymore. I was looking at the following;

Blue Topaz - Always had dark colored trucks wanted a change and this one popped for me.

Nav. - I like the factory integration

5.3

2wd

Integrated Trailer Control

Allstar Pkg

LT Plus Pkg

Sport Pkg

With all the rebates going on now it seemed like a great buy, but I'm unable to find one. I can order a 2015, but I don't get all the rebates or trade assist. I just came back from SEMA and don't hate, but I really like the new F150 with the 5.0. But damnnnnnn 50K when I build it online. I want to keep my cost down to around the 30K mark plus TTL.

Anywho, I'll be lurking around and keep you updated if I find one.....

Thanks

Nissan is redesigning the truck with a new line-up of engines if you are still looking into them, but Nissan still has that "cheapness" to them but yeah,go for a 6.2 instead of the 5.3, I am sure you will not regret it!

I have to agree with u about the fords. Sema was the first place I saw a new one and I actually really liked them. However, I'm not going to be a guinea pig for the new aluminum body for the first few years

Check on line around big cities, in the Houston area the deals are good. If you can get E85 you would only be off 40 HP on the 6.2, the price jump from what your looking at would be a killer.

The Titan is coming out with a Cummins Diesel engine next year. If you've been pleased with Nissan, I would wait and see what that truck has to offer.

Are you willing to travel out of State? I used Cars.com, enetered all my search criteria and opened up a 500 mi search radius. Found the exact truck i wanted in Arkansas and the dealer was willing to deal, they even paid my travel cost to go out and pick the truck up. If your willing to open up your search, you can probably find what or close to what your looking for. Texas, oklahoma and Arkansas seem to be a good region in terms of price and availability of what you are looking for.

Thank you everyone for your help and thanks for the welcome...... Yes new designs scare me the first year, but most are easily fixable. As for the new Titan yes I heard it's going to be on display at the Chicago Auto Show next year.
