If they are anything like the GMT-900 trucks, at the base where the metal posts enter the seat, there will be two plastic retainers...one of which will have the release button. On the side of the plastic retainers will be a tiny hole. Take a small allen key or anything that fits into the hole and depress the spring inside while pulling upward on the headrest. This is the procedure for every GM headrest I've removed in the last 4 or 5 years.

Use a paperclip to push in on the side of the retainer. You'll see the tiny hole on the side of the base where the post goes in.

you can get katzkins in canada. they have custom ordering where you can pick the stitching, heat elements...etc.

im going to do this next summer i think.

my buddies ford dealership has a shop they send their trucks to and has them installed with heat and cooling for about 2K.

ide probably install it myself though so it would be about a grand if i want heat and cool.
