Bull ring anchors mounted on Bed rail caps ?

I just got my ordered Bull ring anchors that I wanted to mount on the bed rail caps and there suppose to be for a 99 up to the current model but there square and the openings on mine near the tail gate were I was going to mount them aren't square as im sure you guys & gals with 14's know . Also the hole in the bed cap is pretty deep they don't even come close to being able to latch on to that location . I did notice 2 more bed rail caps on the other end of the bed rail cap near the cab and it appears there capped and might pop off haven't tryed yes .Was wondering If anyone else mounted them there or at the other location. Going to give it a try in the morning it's getting a little cold out and plus I just finished installing my GM oem real wheel well liners and must say there super nice even have that felt volour type feel like the fronts . They actually look identical but anyway quality piece and should protect the wheel wells nicely and look great instead of the painted service that use to stick out like a sore thumb especially when there white .

If you have the factory rail caps, the plastic ones, they do not pop off in the front. You will have to cut them out with a utility knife, if you want to use those. You can pop the whole rail cap off. They're kept on by tabs.

 

WRT bull rings, looks like you bought the wrong ones or were misinformed as to their fitment.

Thanks for the reply , not sure if I want to cut off the cap tabs just In case these don't fit . According to Bull Rings webs site this model #4001 are made for the bed rail cap model year 99 to current models .States no drilling or cutting just a bolt on and definitely don't want to remove my bed rail caps just to install the bull rings . I just hand a under the rail bed liner sprayed in to .

You should contact the folks at Bull Ring first! When I contacted them last year about the rings, they told me that the only rings that fit 2014 and up are the rings that go inside the bed, not the top rail. They are really good and promot about answering questions. Better to be safe than sorry.

Thanks I'll give them a call in the morning . Also I just noticed it stated the bed rail caps Anchors are for "most" not all . Don't know were I read 99 model year and up I think that must be for the ones that mount in the inside of the bed . That's strange though if the ones in the bed would work on the bed cap because of the strange shape and not being square a long with how deep they are it looks like they'd have nothing to bite or hook on to . If that's the case though and those will work on the bed caps they need to state that on there website .

Sorry...no, none of the Bull Ring models fit on the top rails on the 2014 GM trucks...the only rings they offer that fit the 2014 GM trucks are the rings that go inside the bed and they only work insie the bed.

Well at least 1 out of the 2 projects worked out and the most costly of the 2 . The Factory GM rear wheel well liners were a perfect fit and look great [emoji106]

When I first bought the '14 I bought a pair of tie-down rings from Tractor Supply to put on the rear cap holes to see if they'd fit and I couldn't get them to fit. I like that they turned those cap holes into grab handles, but it screwed up the ability to put universal tie-down anchors in them.

Yes that's true they do make great grab handles but Ya it's a bummer that no anchors will fit .

Well I figured out were I read 99 to current models, it wasn't Bull rings website they stated most Chevys . Amazon had this on there info for the rings .

The Bull Ring 4001 will fit on the front stake holes. I have a pair and can confirm 100% that the DO fit on the front holes. They will not fit on the rear holes. I tried that out, but it wasn't going to work. The front stake holes are the same standard stake holes as prior years.

 

Also, just get a hammer to tap the plastic covers that are on the bed rails covering the holes, they pop off really easily, no pre-cutting needed.

Appreciate the info but I did contact Bull Ring this morning and there claiming they will not be making any anchors for 2014 Silverado trucks because of the ones near the tail gate are designed for grab handles so they don't want to cover them and present possible law suits . Also I was told by Bull ring even though the caps can be removed in the front by the cab my anchors will not work because there's not enough area for them to grab on to . My Bull rings went back today shipping payed by Amazon even though it wasn't sold by them instead one of there vendors since the part was falsely showing it would fit on the 2014 when it was made for 2013 and earlier confirmed by the manufacturer Bull ring. They do make them for the in the bed side mounts though .
