Silverado Body Side Molding

I have a Silverado LT and my truck does not come with body side molding. The Sierra SLE i think, comes with color match side molding on the doors. I have tried calling a few GMC dealers to see if this can be purchased. All of them are saying that this is only available in chrome and not color match. Anyone have luck with finding color match?

I had color matched molding on my 2007 and it started to discolor and look like crap over time. Definitely needed to be replaced or repainted. I like my current 2014 without any molding. I've only seen 2014's with chrome molding. Maybe it will be available on the 2015's?

Paint to match. For 2015 they are building Silverados with standard body colored door moldings. You'd have to either buy the primered ones from a 2015 or buy the chrome set.

Accessories section on GM site shows chrome or matte black.

my 2014 sierra sle came from factory with body colored door mouldings, I promptly removed them and sold em, looks so much cleaner without them

They're standard on SLE, so should be available thru parts.

Find a VIN of the Sierra that has the color mouldings you want. Then just call the dealership parts. They should be able to order. As stated above though, they may only be offered paint to match, but it's worth a shot.

They only come in Chrome or paint to match, that is it. Even on the new 2015 trucks I am willing to bet if the molding needs to be replaced it will come paint to match as well.

Had them on my Tacoma for 7 years with no issue. No they didn't fade one bit or fall off. You have to make sure you have everything aligned before attaching them.
