Remaining gas mileage

You must do a lot of highway? My norm is in the mid 300s.

About 250 miles a week, mostly on 2 Lane rural highways at 60 MPH. Texas Department of Public Safety work the highways I drive most regular so I keep the cruse set at 60-63. No need in giving the state any more of my money.

RGM is just based on the previous fuel economy. It can't predict that you're about to go from city driving to highway or about to hook a 10,000 trailer to it and tow it up the Grapevine. It is at its best when you've been driving down the highway at a consistent fuel burn and are low on fuel. It will tell you pretty closely how much further you can drive before you're a pedestrian.

How previous of fuel economy? I've noticed mine be pretty consist with what my avg MPG has been over the past 50 miles (this is based off the "remaining fuel" indicator that onstar has on the app multiplied by the MPG reading of the past 50 miles, of course there is leeway since onstar rounds to the nearest gallon)

Just curious to see if others are seeing the same result as I am.

Don't think the book says, but on my previous truck I have had the remaining mileage increase as I was driving when I went from high consumption operation to low consumption operation
