Remaining gas mileage

Post up your full tank RGM I get 497-500 and these #'s are calculated by our avg mileage ? Not sure read in another forum that the #'s are accurate if at the start of the fill up you maintain the avg mil. It should be fairly accurate. I understand it would differ if your driving habits would change but just trying to understand.

Thanks,

I usually get 400-415 I would like to see the 497-500 what size is your tank?

More like, what is your average MPG! It's probably pretty darn good.

Going to Dallas a couple weeks ago I was averaging 20.5 mpg that was paper and pen calculations not the electronic screen.

If I didn't have to stop and pee about every 450 miles I might want that bigger tank, but I can't really outlast the one I have now. LOL

Wish we could get the long bed and 34 gallon tank on a crew cab...200 miles per tank towing sucks.

When I fill up my truck it usually says between 400-425. I have a 26 gallon tank. I think thats the perfect size.

My f150 had a 36 gallon tank, and while I had a decent range, It would always require over 100 to fill the tank, and a lot of gas pumps shut down around 90-100. So If I wanted to fill the tank all the way I would have to start a new transaction. Got to be super annoying.

RGM is just based on the previous fuel economy. It can't predict that you're about to go from city driving to highway or about to hook a 10,000 trailer to it and tow it up the Grapevine. It is at its best when you've been driving down the highway at a consistent fuel burn and are low on fuel. It will tell you pretty closely how much further you can drive before you're a pedestrian.

Like the investment guys say, 'past performance is not always a good indicator of future performance.'

458 miles is the norm after fill up for me. I have the 26 gallon tank.

You must do a lot of highway? My norm is in the mid 300s.
