Shock Question

I just had my front end aligned about two weeks ago and decided I wanted new shocks so I ordered the Bilsteins 5100. I called my local dealer and they wanted 365.00 to install them and realign my front end. Do you have to realign the front when you change them out?

I'd say no you don't need an alignment after shock replacement. Also if you are able, do the work yourself & save some money.

The 5100s have several different places to place the spring perch. If you put it at the same place as what you take off your your truck you wont need an alignment. If you put it in a different place, changing the height of the front of your truck you will need an alignment. This is for the GMT 900s.

Is this on a 99-06 or a 07-13?? On 99-06 they're just shocks, and you don't need an alignment.
