I made a mistake and had a new license sent to me so that is delaying things. Kern county is easy to get a concealed license so i am going to apply for that when i get the 229

Love HKs and almost bought one, but was able to buy my sig and CZ for the price of one HK. I was afraid my HK would be a bit of a safe queen like the kimber, so i went with these 2 instead. The CZ is my truck gun and my sig is my nightstand gun.

Got my drivers license so got the paperwork done to start my waiting period. Paid in full and just have wait the time. But i got a pic of it today,

You're going to really enjoy that P229, Sig makes a nice pistol. I don't have the P229 (yet) but I do have the P228 and it carries and shoots great.

It's also a little lighter and better balanced than the P229 which is a little top heavy but a great pistol for sure. Definitely going to add a 229 to my family of pistols in the future.

The good thing about Sig is they run a law enforcement / military discount program. Hopefully you were not forced to pay full price for that pistol because they are expensive. The bad thing about that is it's not easy to find a certified dealer that participates in the program. Unfortunately the name on your pictured paperwork is not an authorized participant. If you buy another Sig., look around for someone who is a participant. All you need is your military ID and you get the awesome discount.

I paid $1030 for it. I am pretty sure paid pull proce since i had to have it ordered the way i wanted it. I also went through a small local gun shop. The other gun shop in town wont do a discount if you are a vet, only active. The P229 does fit nicely in the gun pocket of my Oakley Chamber Range Backpack. I got that through Oakley's military direct sales.
