Amber Corner lights for running lights

Hi, looked around here for a while trying to figure out if i can mod the orange corner lights to come on as running lights instead of the headlights.When i put the truck in gear the headlights come on automatically . I am up in Canada so it my be different for the American truck it's a 2012 Gmc Sierra Slt Anyone got any leads on this ? Thanks !

Not sure there is any easy way to do this unfortunately. US-spec trucks override DRLs when you move the switch to parking lights. Maybe working with a BCM programmed to US specification (or if the headlamp switch is unique, that) would be a good place to start.

Those "orange corner lights" are normally called "turn signals"
