Wheel compatability

Hi folks, Im looking to swap my wheels out on my 2008 tahoe 1500 Z71 from the stock 265/65/18 to 265/70/17. Basically the same diameter, just more sidewall. Ive been searching out definitive info on swapping through different years of GM stock wheels. Most say that 2007-2014 wheels will interchange without issue, and others say the newer truck wheels are different. Just want to hear what the informed have to say. I am looking at some 2014 1500 sierra wheels 265/70/17 to put on the tahoe. Thanks

Any stock 17-22" 1500 wheel from 05 to now will fit. The front brakes on your tahoe are basically the same as the 2005 part numbers i put on my truck. The rotor soze has not changed since 2005. Bolt pattern has been the same since the 60's.

If the bolt pattern is the same the wheels will fit, then as said above the offset comes into play.

Offset has changed slightly but not enough to warrant concern if running stock soze tires

The stock GM rim offset on these vehicles I believe is +31MM.

Sweet! Thanks everyone for taking the time to reply to this topic. Hopefully this thread will answer someone elses question about this as well. I will most likely check out the 2014 GMC factory rims that are being sold with the OEM Bridgestone Dueler A/T's. Not my first choice but for the miles I put on, it should be an ok All Terrain tire...
