Lowered Truck Pics

Got a new 2015 LT Double Cab with the RallyII package.

I love the truck, but it needs to come down. I have looked here for lowered trucks and found some, but was hoping you guys would put a pic or two on this thread with the drop configuration, brand, how happy you are with it and how it drives. I still want to ride in comfort.

Thanks

p.s. For the old timers here that may remember me, the "Old Mule", my 1995 CC is still alive and headed to my nephew for him to restore and use.post-124834-0-46307900-1419546408_thumb.jpg

Here is my RCSB 3-5 Mcgaughys no change in ride quality and i love it

Damn bro that looks sick! Did u have to change anything at all? I really like this set up but don't want to deal with driveshaft or any other components. Currently running a 3 inch belltech drop in rear but this look is exactly what I'm looking for

Thanks I am enjoying it very much. I installed kit and had my bud do the alignment. I will say that my driveshaft has had a vibration since the day I drove it off of the lot but I am going to do an aluminium shaft fully balanced soon. Other than that it handles awesome and the interstate on and off ramps are much more fun now taking them at higher speeds. LOL...

Man I like everything u said other than the new shaft u have to replace. I Might have to just throw on some meaty 18s to give it a sporty look and call it good. Looks great though!!

If your driveshaft does not vibrate then your good. But mine vibrated bad from 30 mph up to 100 mph and I had the stealership re-balance the tires and it did not make any difference so I determined it's the Driveshaft. I could get the stock shaft balanced but i'm going the performance route for future engine mods.

2014 2" in front and 7" in back rides like a caddy. Plasti dipped the grill and bumpers. 24" Denali replicas. I also have a Vibration on acceleration but honestly it's been there since I drove it off the lot nobody at the dealership was helpful with that. No one knows why it vibrates wish GM would figure it out other than that it's my only complaint about the truck. My next mod is going to be exhaust and cold air intake

This truck looks amazing lowered with some aftermarket wheels, definitely looks good, what i don't understand is why some of you guys are willing to sacrifice reliability for the lowered look. I don't think having a vibrating driveshaft can be good in the long run, possibly short run too. Is there any way of fixing the issue without rebalancing the driveshaft? How much would rebalancing the driveshaft cost? Maybe I'm just a little paranoid, but wouldn't this cause problems with the yoke seals possibly leaking or damaging the transmission?

My neighbor has a really low F-150 that sounds like crap whenever hes driving it, turning, stopping, going up his driveway, it just sounds like it's going to fall apart, all because he likes the lowered look. It would be a real shame to have that happen to your guys's nice new trucks.

Just food for thought

Read my post! THE TRUCK HAD A VIBRATION SINCE THE DAY I DROVE IT OFF OF THE LOT BRAND NEW! And lowering or raising a vehicle does NOT affect reliability at all if done right. I have been building Trucks, Cars, Harley-Davidson's for 30 years and I love modified vehicles and to me stock vehicles look just like your neighbors truck, car etc...it's a personal decision!

Snack on that food for thought.

I did read your post, did you read mine? I never said anything about lowering/raising vehicle height causing reliability issues, although if done wrong, can. Having a vibration from the driveshaft is not normal, if it had it from the dealer brand new, they should fix it, because it's not normal. You're not the first who have complained about excessive vibrations from lowering the truck.

It's your truck, you can do whatever you want with it, maybe i'll admire the look of your lowered, vibrating truck one day alongside of my vibration free silverado :driving:

Have a good one dude

None of the Stealerships know what to do with the vibration or where it's coming from. I'm pretty sure it's the driveshaft but won't know until I have the Aluminium one built. TSB might be next if enough people piss and moan about it.

There is a GM Representative on this board, might want to reach out to them and see if they can help.
