3. probably not unless you had an 8 foot bed. But you can get a tri fold,and they fold up and you can take off easy and set to the side.

I really appreciate the compliments and validation on getting a good deal! Most of my family and friends have asked why I didn't just get a new 14. I'm glad I got on here first, I almost bought the wheel well trim for the GMC assuming it'd fit the Silverado. Can someone recommend a reputable brand for the folding and/or retractable bed covers? I think the MPG decrease with a level kit/tires is definitely justified in the appearance and ground clearance increase.

I'm excited to see how well the truck pulls my boat. The boat is at my H3's max tow capacity, 5k lbs. I only had to tow it a mile from the storage to the lake, but it was still quite the struggle for the H3.

I was never a big fan of white but man do these new chevy trucks look fantastic in white ,nice truck,in the pic it has a nice stance almost looks like it has already been leveled but I don't see it mentioned in the extras he added.

I agree. I've always been partial to black, but for someone reason I really liked the Silverado's in white. It hasn't been leveled, so it's probably just the angle of the pic. I've been reading through a plethora of pages in the leveling kit thread trying to decide which kit/height to go with.

Thanks man! Do you still have a working dog? I love Mals for their working ability. Unfortunately they're becoming more popular, thus more common in shelters. I see a lot of people with no handler experience getting mals because they're "cool" only to find out they make awful pets.

Yeah, Mali's are only good pets to those who know how to handle them and give them an outlet for their endless energy. I do still have a working dog. My current partner is a Black Lab...obviously, he's detector-only. I like working the Lab, too, but there's nothing like a Maligator.

If you dont mind a little bit of work the leveling kit is actually pretty easy. After looking for one myself and talking with the dealership about the warranty I final ened up ordering one off ebay machined out of aluminum. I think it was 35 or 36 shipped. I did have to buy some different bolts for it. Took about 4 hours to do but I modified the instructions slightly which at first slowed me dow. But then saved a bunch of time and a headache. 3.5 hrs on the passenger side then 30 min on the drivers. This includes 2 trips for hardware. Took it to a local car shop, Belle Tire. They alligned it and done. The dealership couldnt allign it. They said the crew cab with th e standard box didnt fit on their rack.

You can still get good mileage with a lift and 34 inch LT tires if you're easy on the gas pedal and install a Hypertech to correct for the oversize tires. 37K miles and I'm still averaging 20 overall. I rarely get above 22 or below 18, 20 is pretty consistent. See my signature block for more info. Enjoy your truck.

My brother has an H3 with that Inline 5. Gutless wonder. Hard lesson learned though. His has about 80,000 miles on it and needs to hold onto it for a few more years. Any suggestions on upkeep/upgrades to the H3?

Welcome and congratulations, very nice truck. I just got a white 2014 Silverado LTZ as well. They are the only ones I don't seem to mind the white color scheme. As far as loading your dirt bike: Buy and install whatever cover you really want. If it looks as if the front knobby will mess up the cover at the front, just place a milk crate or large piece of timber between the front wall and the tire. Secure with tie downs in your usual preferred method. Good luck.
