Window Vent Visors

I installed a set of AVS in channel visors on my crew cab last summer and the back ones kept slipping out of place. It was like they were about a 1/4" too narrow. Turns out Lund is the parent company, so when I called their customer service, they were very helpful and asked if I'd be willing to try their other brand. These were actually Lund brand I think. I was more careful in the prep and install of this 2nd set, but after a while, they started to slip out of place too. Before warm weather gets here, I need to call them back and see what they offer next. Anyhow, this brand does not fit well on the crew cabs. The front visors fit just fine.

Those of you who had trouble with the Weather Techs, was that on the Double or on the Crew Cab ? Has anyone found a set of "in channels" that fits the back windows of a crew cab properly ?

I have Weathertech in-channels on my Double Cab and all 4 fit just fine. The ones for the rear windows are held in place by 2 metal clips on each side and they actually fit more firm than the front ones. You just have to make sure it's all installed right. I'm thinking the ones that have had trouble with the rear maybe didn't install the slips right or didn't slide the visors in place right. It also could be that they weren't formed right or didn't set right at the plant.

There's going to be some difference between the double cab and crew cab, in the crew cab needing one that's just slightly longer in lengh. The AVS and Lund parts looked just about identical, but from what I see, there probably needs to be an additional mounting tab at the center of the back window visor(s). That, and as I said earlier, it just seems like they are about a 1/4 inch too short in length. I've installed a few sets of these over the years, but with this set, there is something not quite right with the back ones.
