Ltz z71 or High Country

The shocks on the truck have absolutely nothing to do with which gear set it has. Things like this blow my mind. You should know what gears your truck has before you buy it. How do so many people really not know what they have in their truck? You aren't even sure which suspension the truck has, that's unbelievable.

Did you just buy a truck just to have a truck and not care how it was equipped? All you need to do is read the window sticker, EVERYTHING your truck has is listed on that sticker.

It's just really hard to believe how many people purchase a truck and then come here asking which equipment it has. Crazy! These are things you should know before buying a truck. The window sticker is there for a reason, take a look at it. Hopefully you have the gears you wanted, if not, it's nobody's fault but you own for not finding out before buying.

Well clearly that was uncessary I'm not about to explain my "whole"life story but I'll share a piece so u can get your head straight. so that being said I guess u assume I have access to all the information just like those who live at home and are at home I travel a lot this is my finances(owner) / my truck so hence I haven't really gotten up to par with wat the truck is equipped. The whole point of my statement was curiosity as to why it would have it, never did I mention or complain if my truck had the right suspension or gears.

This will be my final post on this topic, don't need to have the mods close due to my responses to hurt feelings of someone who didn't like the answer to their question after purchasing a vehicle not knowing the installed options...........

I never asked for any type of life story from you, really strange you would assume that from answering your question but ok.

Get my head straight? that's strange and funny you feel that way. When purchasing a vehicle of any type, I make sure it has all the options I want before buying, that's a good sign of someone that has their head straight.

Simply stated, again....ALL the information you are asking about is on the window sticker. Nobody here is going to be able to tell you what your truck is equipped with by the color of the shocks.

Read the window sticker OR have whoever read it to you OR send you a picture of the sticker so you can see for yourself. There are so many options available with the newer trucks that the window sticker, RPO codes, and/or build sheet are the only ways to know what gears, suspension, or anything else imaginable the truck has installed.

Lastly, you made a post asking about a new truck you were involved in purchasing. The questions asked should have been asked to the dealership before signing on the purchase agreement, someone with their 'head straight' would know that. It's the responsibility of you, the customer to know what you are buying.

Like I said in my earlier post, asking about your trucks installed options on a forum based on the color of the shocks is not going to help. It's just very surprising to me how many people buy trucks and actually have no idea what options are installed. I can't figure it out and there have been quite a few recently that buy a new truck and are upset with the dealership after the fact because it doesn't have the gears, suspension, engine, or wheel size they wanted. Decide what you want and what you need, find a truck with those options and buy that truck. Doing that, there will be no surprises or disappointment after signing papers.

Lol this truck is no disappointment my questions as to "why a 2wd would have the off road screen" is simply out of curiosity as far as suspension I said by starting it wasn't a "a z71 and I don't have the rancho shocks" was more of a rethorical question and I you may have answer as to where I can find the suspension in the sticker but question was not answered

Here is where the optional suspension will be listed. If you have the base suspension this will not exist. In all cases, you can get lots more info about all options on the GMC website.

That's why there are different models and trim levels and colors with unlimited number of options for every buyer.

It's your money and your individual likes/dislikes and the intended use of the truck that determines what you want.

My personal vote is for the HC!

Traded in a LTZ and the extra $2-3k is my choice for a similiarly equipped truck. The difference will be there again

at trade-in time.

Get what you like best and will be happy with your decision. I bought my HC and loved it since day one. I still get compliments everywhere I go. Specially when I'm cruising around and see all the necks it breaks. I like the color matched bumpers. The less chrome the better, chrome is played out. The interior looks awesome, the HC puts you on another level

4x4 trucks have a softer suspension (aka rides better) than Z71 trucks. I only buy 4x4 now after having one Z71 in my life. I bought a High Country because of the brown interior. I don't like black and use my truck as a truck so as to not go with the light colored interiors. I looked at both and not enough price difference in a high end Z71 and High Country. Find a truck you like and go with it.

I went with the ltz with the ltz plus package and the 20 wheels it has everything the HC has except the sun roof and the cowboy interior which wasn't for me
