I just had the muffler and flapper taken off, wanted to save a little for intake, mud flaps and possibly painted flares. It now has a nice low growl and not loud at all. After just a ten minute drive I'm pleased so far. Will probably do a cat back eventually.

I voted High Country. I just traded my 07.5 with 40,000 miles for a 2015 High Country 4x4 this last Saturday. So far I have added a tonneau cover, tinted the windows, added a bug shield and put the wheels from my old truck on it. They are 305-45-22 and don't rub at all, where on my other truck they did on sharp turns. What shall I do next? The exhaust gets put on in 30 minutes!

Take those rims off

Haha, that's not the first time I heard that today. I'll save for some new ones with a little black and chrome in them.

There is a high country here at work and I dont like that silly badge on the door.

Agree with the badges. My door badges have been removed and the HC mostly

de-chromed except for the front end. I left the tailgate HC badge on as I don't have

to look at it every time I get in the truck, and it was a PITA to get the glue residue

off from the other badges and moldings.

I went High Country as that is what I found on the lot that had a 6.2L in the right color.

HC has body color bumpers and and orangy/maroon interior. I like chrome bumpers on a truck with a big frontal area. Bugs can be hard to get off and overall harder to keep clean on paint. Not a fan of the interior color of high countries. The LTZ 20's look the best to me. Don't really like the HC wheels. The Z71 package isn't much more than a diff sticker and inst panel bezel. That's why I got a loaded LTZ. But that's just me.

I agree with SLED!

While most here like color match bumper and z71 grills. I'm opposite. I like the chrome of my non z71 LTZ. and chrome honey comb grill. Also like the 20s that come on mine. The high country wheels aren't my cup of tea and look like PITA to clean

I don't work out of my trunk so stiffer shocks don't interest me for ride quality. I like the softer shocks as I daily drive mine to work. I use mine for a load of fire wood once a month, towing a pontoon boat and doing some landscape projects.

Agreed with both of you... except I have the Z71. I like it more than the plain LTZ. I was trying to decide between a HC and LTZ Z71 at my dealer for a couple of days. My LTZ is completely loaded, there's not a single option more I can get except for the 6.2L. So, the HC was only about 2 grand more so price wasn't an issue, it was deciding on looks. My LTZ has the stock 20" chrome and I love them, they go really well with the truck and make all the other chrome flow together. I'll never get rid of them which is awesome! It's rare I like the stock rims on a vehicle so I just saved myself $1000-1200 bucks. I also hate painted bumpers on trucks, bugs and rock chips just chew them up. You need some chrome on at least the front area of trucks and I love how my '15 looks. I like the more rugged appearance of the LTZ Z71, and while I know the Z71 isn't a "off-road package" per se, I like the subtle touches. Different instrument cluster, Z71 stickers on the bed, off-road screen, and skid plates.

The HC was white and it looked... 'feminine' with the chrome. Was too luxurious looking to be a truck IMO, it looked like an Escalade. The only thing I would like that the HC has is the brown interior, that's it. The rims, grille and painted bumpers are ugly IMO.

No regrets with my decision. Very happy.

I ended up getting a Sierra but my very close second choice was a LTZ Z71! I don't like anything about the HC. The wheels, the badge...

Love the High Country but am not a fan of any of the colors, come to think of it in my opinion GM needs to rethink some of their color choices for 2016!

the midnight edition made my decision easy and ive never been a fan of the brown interior in the HC

I don't like the Midnight Edition so I got the Custom Sport in black. The all black just looks to base for me. I did add black wheels to mine but they look way better than GMs excuse of wheels on the Midnights. And the Midnights are "limited" numbers and I see more of those than the Custom Sports.

I can't believe this thread is still going haha
