I read on here somewhere that adding a Z71 package to a truck deletes things like cooled seats and some other little things. That's a deal breaker for me. I'd rather have a 4WD High Country than a Z71 LTZ. Also, it may not be fair but when the HC shows up for service it's going to get done first. They know how much you spent on that HC and that makes you a VIP at the dealership. Live it up once in a while and grab the top of the line and enjoy it. Just my $.02.

I have a Z71 and also have cooled seats, so must not be the case

Both 6.2l

the price difference is about 2k with the same options, but idk which to get?

Help me out guys!

CapMc, I just ordered a brownstone 2015 LTZ Z71 CC with coca dune interior. The 2LZ package gave me just about everything I wanted. I personally like the chrome Z71 grill over the honeycomb or the high country bars. I also preferred the chrome bumpers over the color matched ones. And not to mention the HC interior color just doesn't get it for me. If you spend that kind of $, then you should be given options on the interior. I did have to pay for options I wanted however like a power sun roof, cooled perforated seats, drivers side assist handle, navigation. I also will go with the Amp power step over the factory nerf bar. I think the truck looks better that way. In all the Z71 worked better for me. F-5

Slightly off topic:

I've had both a 2014 SLT Z71 with everything except the rear window option (grr) and now my Denali. My .02:

Chrome bumpers look better than painted

Denali grill is way nicer than LTZ

DIC is way nicer on Denali

Rear window is standard

Bed liner in Denali is great

Interior except DIC is the same

Magnetic Ride Control is awesome in corners (not much different over bumps)

Resale will be better on Denali

I looked at a HC-- wish I had bought it. I'm only happy for about a week after I get a new truck - then I'm ready for another one.

I hate the wheels on HC and although I love painted bumpers, I couldn't get past the rear painted bumper with black ears hanging off each end(that's on White Diamond Tricoat paint) So I ordered me an LTZ with sexy ass brown leather and an almost gross amount of chrome.

There is a high country at work. I do not like anything about it. The wheels, the badge and the interior color.

Part of the reason I went with the slt is I wanted a chrome bumper.

Denali is not available with tow mirrors.

Denali is not available with 'tow haul' gear ratio.

Mine has tow mirrors now. The good ones.

No, probably not. The 3.42 pulls pretty well.

What do you consider 'tow haul' gears?

I like my high country and do get compliments are the time on the interior. At first I wasn't a huge fan of it, and though it may be "fake" saddle brown leather, no one knows that and thinks it's awesome. It grew on me and love it now. I have done some mods to take it away from the "Cadillac" look but loved the way it looked before also. For me the grill is way better looking that the honeycomb also. Also fan of color matched bumpers, just my opinion.

I agree the HC front end is amazing but once I saw the Custom Sport, I had my mind made up! Can't believe this is still going. I did order this truck and no regrets at all. I appreciate all the feedback guys!

I had every intention of buying one or the other til I got to look at them up close. LTZ has too much chrome on the front end for me and I think the 20"chrome wheels look cheap. I think the18"wheels on the LTZ are bad ass looking though.

I climbed into the High Country and felt like I should be wearing cowboy boots and spitting tobacco. I didn't care for the two tone interior and the excessive stitching on either as well. I don't care for all that chrome on the mirrors, door handles etc. The wheels uglier than the LTZ 20". It took me awhile to find one, but I got decked out LT2. Just my two cents.

LMAO. Only thing better about the HC over the LTZ is that High Country has a nicer grille.
