New from Mississippi

New here from Mississippi. Loving the 2014 so far. Bright red, crew cab, standard bed, Z71, towing package.

I traded my 2012 Crew Z71 for it. I made the change for the longer bed.

My biggest problem is how low it seems to ride and where to run my accessory wires.

Every other 2014 I run across rides an inch or so higher (stock).

I'm a Volunteer Fire Fighter and need to get all my lights put back on. This firewall is a bit more cramped than my 2012 was.

I've already found some really good ideas from this site. Thanks to all that contribute.

Also interest in the lights.....won't have mine till march and need to have a plan

I'm planning on a remote siren/light control behind the back seat drill a hole back there and using flexible conduit to run out to the frame and branch out where I need to easier to add wires when needed that way

Also getting the z71 but mine is ltz with the 6.2

FireChevy I'm from Warren Ohio. Haven't installed yet, but probably going with a small magnetic led bar Since I don't have a back rack. I want to figure out best way to run my wiring first. Also where to put siren without putting holes in my baby.

Ha. I'm from Warren County Ms. We can't run sirens in POV here. Just lights. I'm thinking about coming in from the bottom somewhere. That fire wall is just too tight for 3 radio wires and 4 switching wires. I've got a dash light I just throw up there for now. I need a good weekend to put everything where I want it and then worry about where to run the wires.

I have the bench in the front so running everything clean to the center consoul isn't an option.

I was considering running wiring from bottom up behind the dash than building a small floor console for siren box and carpet it like oem. If I make it I will post some pics and let you know how it goes.

I'd like to see some console ideas for that spot on the floor. There haven't been too many people put radios in the '14 yet. Well, normal radios. I've seen the over-kill ham radio guys. I'm not looking to take up my whole front area with mess.

I like the little dash compartment under the radio there in the middle..... But... It does kinda kill the perfect spot for radio. Saw a guy attach his straight to the compartment. I would worry about rough roads breaking the clasp.
