Which 2" leveling kit? Motofab or Rough Country

I am about to purchase a 2" leveling kit for my 2014 GMC Sierra 1500. I see a lot of people running the RC kit. However the RC kit is plastic and the Motofab kit is anodized billet and $20 cheaper. Its not about the money. What kit do you recommend? To me it looks like they will both get the job done.

Thanks

I went with a Top Gun Customz level kit, 2". Not installed yet, but it's powder coated gloss black metal. Very sturdy and very solid construction. Very clean and strong looking welds. Should be installing in the next few weeks

Leveling isn't so much like suspension lifts where you have to worry about brand due to components. Just about everybody uses the same exact set up. For example the TGC 2" level is just a rebranded version that is used for several companies. I would however stick with the lower spacer for ease of install, ride quality is the same.

I am using my pro comp coil over with my new lift kit but it can only be set to 7" so I am including the lower spacer to get the 9" and where I would normally run from Skyjacker as a suspension lift, they have a great lower spacer at a crazy low price that will do the trick.

Biggest thing for us is to make sure you get the correct spacer (steel or aluminum) for your set up.

Thanks. I just checked out the product. I think I would prefer a solid piece in lieu of 2 pieces welded together. I am sure its the same though.

I like this product as well. Will definitely do the trick.

Is there any advantage in a plastic spacer over an aluminum one?

The lower control arms are aluminum on some of these trucks, I'm guessing that's what he meant is you need to know the material of your lower control arms

I didn't go with a composite lower spacer just because I felt like it would crack over time with the road salt and just wear on it. I'm probably wrong but I'd rather have a strong metal spacer. Just a personal preference

That is what I ended up with, lifetime warranty against defects and tried and true, like i said i would never buy an RCX lift but items like this are all very similar.

As for aluminum vs. steel, this is just something you need to know because you will need to order the kit for the correct suspension that your truck came with. You can tell my the control arms.

I finally purchased the 2" Motofab spacers that mount on the underside of the strut. Let me tell you something these pieces are a work of art. They are solid billet anodized aluminum measuring 1 1/8" which I am guessing will relate to a 2 1/4" lift. They are really nice. Very high quality and very heavy. They come with really nice heavy duty hardware and they were priced on Amazon at $40 shipped. I am really happy I purchased them over the RC 2" lift. I couldn't see my self paying more money than that for plastic spacers. Anyway I will let you guys know how the install goes tonight. Tomorrow I will get an alignment.

Any follow up on this? I just ordered the same kit. Thanks.

I have the same kit on my truck. No complaints, very well built. Still rides same as stock even with 285/65/18's.

Has anyone installed the motofab 2.5 spacers in their silverado? I attempted to install them in my 2015 z71 black out today but couldnt get the control arm to down far enough to put it all back together so we had to take them out. just wondering if anyone has any methods of installing these.

Loosen the sway bar link bolts...don't have to remove them.

I just got my moto fab kit in the mail today and before I install it this could be a dumb question but they sent me 8 washers do I put a washer on each side of the holes or did they give me extras?

Go easy on me here, but how will I know right away if mine are steel or aluminum?
