any GM dealership can run the VIN - either the parts or service dept ...

your 5 year / 100,000 Drivetrane warranty is still in effect and can be confirmed by any GM service center ... if they say their not too busy - free tranfer to any new buyer

Well, I guess they have made it easier to remove over the years

My 2004 25 HD was even easier !!! all snaps & 4 torque heads

I went on to GMC's website to build one and I did not see rubber floor option (the used dealer told me it was an option I immediately called BS, but you never know)

For commercial/fleet customers many things are possible that you cannot get on regular consumer models. I drove fleet vehicles for many yrs and often our suburban had options that you could not order unless you were a fleet customer like the state. My suburban was a base vehicle but we could upgrade to better upscale cloth seating not available in the base models. There were a few other options available only to us that you could not get on a base suburban. I even seen some with bucket seat interiors on plain jane fleet burbs.

Delete carpeting is one of them, special paint, special suspension, delete trim etc

A few of the trucks I looked at had tags in the GM report that they were manufactured for ducks unlimited and a few other fleet vehicles. Those reports list EVERYTHING!!! so if it was in an accident and they replaced a higher end part ( head unit with touch screen ) with a lower end part you'll know. Not stating your case but just in general

There are very few options added in error. They use 'Just in Time' supply chains and everything coming in the plant is already sequenced to the vehicle and conveyed to the line in time to meet up with the vehicle. So there are no extra's sitting around to be put on by mistake. If its on the vehicle, it was scheduled to be put on the vehicle.

Have a dealer pull the service history (using the VIN) to make sure you aren't buying someone else's problem.

Is this the gas 6.0 or duramax? 2011 was the first year for DEF urea system and some trucks had all sorts of problems with def tank sensors. The 2011 - 2014 HD is the best looking GMC truck IMO. You also get the upgraded frame, body mounts etc vs 2007 - 2010

Post some pics!

2009 GMC, I had some on pull the record and the service history doesn't show anything major, worst was the exhaust manifold and axle seal was replaced last year.

This is a 2011 Denali Gasser. I actually stayed away from the Duramax's because of the DEF issues I'd be pissed (no pun intended) if I paid $40k for a Duramax and it had all sorts of DEF issues. I tried finding an 2007-2010 Duramax but the prices were out of my range for the mileage I wanted (under 100k).

I picked the truck up this morning and drove it 70 miles today already and the truck really feels mechanically sound, everything works only thing the truck needs is some cleaning in the interior and it'll be good, but I picked her up for what I was finding 2009 SLT's and LTZ's with the same mileage for and all other Denali's I found were a good $8-$10k more.

Thanks, I should be, unless something is entirely hidden, but that is a risk for any car you buy even a new one, The brakes did not pulse or vibrate getting her up to 80MPH no vibrations or pulling, no clunking in front end, averaged 15mpg on the way home according to the DIC. I know there is some work to be done to it but I haven't found a used truck that I could call pristine. It's a truck after all.

Looks like a nice truck. If it drives well and you feel good about it then go for it. With it being a black truck, if the paint looks good it was probably treated well and mostly seen paved roads.

Park assist and trailer brakes is likely a harness issue. Perhaps as simple as a connector coming apart.

11 and newer have greatly improved service brakes, frame, front suspension, the exhaust brake, higher torque and horsepower....

My 11 LML was an SLT. OMHO the def issues are blown all out of proportion -- and mine was one that did have some of the emission system issues.

I miss the truck, but I no longer needed it's capabilities and opted for the improved ride of a 1500. If I needed the capability I'd buy another LML in a heartbeat.
