Any pics of the factory underseat storage bin

I don't have any pics as my back seat is full of junk, but yes, it does have 2 or 3 screws mounting it to the floor towards the back of the bin. It's reasonably well made, but I wouldn't have paid 225 for it if it wasn't already on the truck.

Is it screwed into the floor - of just left loose?

(I saw a pics of one at the autoshow and it was screwed into the floor (perhaps for theft?)

I order the weathertech floor liners and am hoping they well with the storage bin.

Like the other guy said its screwed but into brackets. I have weather tech mats and it fits perfectly with the storage bin. The mat fits underneath.

The storage bin itself has a metal bracket in each corner that is used to bolt it down, which bolt down under the two floorboard seat bolts.

Install is easy. Bolt on brackets, remove seat bolts, slide bin back, reattach seat bolts. Putting those little nets in there is the harder part.

I have the exact same question as twoplustwo. I have the Weathertech floor liners that go way back under the back seat. On the weathertech website one of the questions was whether you have the rear underseat storage bin or not. I said "no" and got the mats that go way back under the seat. Now I'm considering buying the rear underseat storage bin, and I'm wondering a few things:

1. Do you have to bolt it in place? Or can you just set it on top of the weathertech floor mats and not bolt it in?

2. If you just set it on top without bolting it in place, will it slide around and not stay in place properly?

3. If you bolt it in place, will you have to bolt it in place THROUGH the floor mats? Because, if so, that would mean you would have to unbolt and remove the underseat bin every time you wanted to remove and clean the rear floor mats.

Thanks for any help.

There's absolutely no bolting through the mats.

The full weather tech mats slide underneath the storage bin. The storage bin connects to brackets which connect further back.

Thanks very much Dropsix. The storage bin looks pretty handy. Think I'll order one.

I have the OEM underseat storage tray and Weathertech floor liners. I purchased the Weathertech rear liner for a Yukon and use it such that it covers the floor but does not go under the storage tray. Easy in /easy out for cleaning and fits perfect.

The Husky Gear Box goes over the liner. It is mounted in place over the jack handle mounting stud. just spin the one winged nut loose and the liner will come right out under the Gear Box. The one winged nut holds everything securely, and the Husky Gear Box looks like it was built into the truck. Looks more OEM than the OEM or Du-Ha, by far.

I have the OEM storage box and I watched the tech install it. There is a bent metal bracket on each end. It's bent to make the correct turns from the box back to the rear wall of the cab where it actually attaches to the bolts that hold your backseat in place. It's flexible and you can easily lift the front edge.
