Has anyone ever requested to have a truck from a certain assembly plan

What says the quality of a part/vehicle made somewhere other than the U.S. isn't as good? I'm not talking about the jobs, I'm talking about the performance of the part/vehicle. Many of the best manufacturing people I've met were of Hispanic descent, in particular Mexican descent. I've had plenty of U.S. Union made vehicles. None were as good as my current truck, which is made in Mexico. In all fairness, time has passed and standards have changed. My last U.S. assembled truck was a 99 1/2 Sierra. It was a good truck. This 14 is better in a lot of ways. This same prejudice was prevalent about the Japanese cars after the products had long passed Detroit's quality and performance.

The fact that my K2's were made in Mexico doesn't bother me. They're good trucks, and while I'd like to have them built in the United States, I'd also rather have them built in a non UAW factory. So, I'm conflicted.
