2015 Sierra P 265/70/17 Bridgestone Dueler A/T Tire Pressure?

Hey guys, I've searched some tire pressure threads and haven't quite found what I'm looking for, so I'm hoping you can help me out. I bought a 2015 Sierra 1500 Crew 4WD 2 months ago. After some rough ride horror stories, etc. I was pleased to find it rides awesome so far.

I was flipping through the gauges and noticed the tires were inflated to 45 psi. I thought that seemed high, but didn't think much of it. I checked my door sticker and it lists 35 psi and the tire (Bridgestone Dueler A/T) has a max psi listing of 44 on the sidewall. I deflated them down to around 38/39 to see how the ride was and the ride is still good.

I don't want to over or under inflate, but 35 psi on those decent size tires seems low to me. Any thoughts? I don't know if they came from GM that high, if the dealership over-inflated them, etc. Trying to figure out what pressure to run them at. Mix of highway and city miles with minimal hauling, no trailers on the regular, etc.

Thanks!

The door tag will be your best pressure to go by. You can experiment with it for wear purposes but 35psi is plenty fine.

Yup, I follow the door tag myself. If it's 35, I wouldn't let pressure go lower than 30. I've heard of tires getting ruined (overflexing) because of very low air pressure.

I have that exact size and run 35psi cold, the ride is decent unloaded and gets better with some weight in the back. Although I'm also on bilstein 4600's.
