Waxing a full size truck

Clay bar treatment should be an annual event. Just try it on the hood and you will soon be claying the whole truck. It makes it so smooooth. Waxing seems easier after claying also.

Cleaning my truck is my main exercise nowadays. I have no time to go to the gym. I guess its a form of an upper body workout for geeks like me. :fart:

This is what i like... just warm in up in warm water before u use it...

In used this wax last weekend and it took a little over 3 hours. I put it on too thick and when it hazed over it was a bear to get off, but it sure looks nice when all done.

Did u warm the bottle up in hot water first? And i only put about a nickel amount on the pads i use...

Yes I warmed it up and shook it real good. I was using an electric type of an applicator to apply and I figured I would rather be a little thick than a little thin. Then to top it all off, I waxed the whole truck before I started the removal and buffing. By the time I started removing it was like plaster.

I have used this wax for several years and it was not the waxes fault, it was my error. I will still continue to use 845 as I really like it, I will just be more cautious the next time.

It thins in out, makes it easier to use and liquifies the solids.

I wish I had a little more spare cash I'd just hire someone to do it but, I did my double cab last summer. I would like to clay bar first and do it up right this spring / summer. I did my car also last year and wow that was a lot easier.

I just found out about those nanoskin mits, those things are awesome! Works as good as a claybar but you can use it about 25 times, took the rail dust right off mine.

SlavO... agree with the Collinite. I've just spent a couple weeks researching the products I think provide best value, for a new truck that arrives in a week, and I think it's Chemical Guys polish, Chemical Guys sealer, and Collinite wax. Each about $25 a piece in Canada. Likely other products (Poorboys etc.) at similar price. But anything beyond this price is marketing. Adams, Zaino seem to be overhyped/overpriced.
