2011 GMC 1500 4.8/4L60E maintenance questions?

My Current truck is an 04 GMC 1500 Crew Cab 5.3/4L60E G80 autotrac 4wd with 217,000 miles.

 

I have my eye on a 2011 GMC 1500 SL Crew Cab, 4wd, Z82 trailer package, 4.8L VVT, 4L60E with 2 speed transfer case (floor shifter.) G80 rear diff. with 55,000 miles.

My question is about fluids...

Engine 5W30 Full syn.
Trans will be Dex 6
Transfer case - is that just Dex 6 full syn too? My current ride is auto trac transfer case, which is the expensive grape juice.

Diffs - 75W90 full syn in the front, and 75W90 Full syn in the rear. Does the new fluids have the additive for the G80 LSD?

No additives or friction modifiers.

it is not an LSD its a locking rear differential

 

As said above no additional fluid besides the 75W-90 needed

Transfer case is Dexron 6.

 

Diffs, I personally use nothing but the GM 75w90 but you can pick your choice. No additive required for the G80.

 

4.8 is a solid engine. No AFM, and they like to wind up.

Yupp, this 4.8 builds the revs faster than my 04 5.3 did.

Might as well lol. They have an updated fluid out as well.

Any 75w90 in the diff will work. OEM is expensive. No need for any additive. Any dex6 in the transfer will work, too. Synthetic is good. And if the truck calls for dot 3, then any dot 3 brake fluid will work. Keep it simple
