HID installation questions

So I ordered LTZ projector headlights and the Silverado kit from TRS. I've read some members here recommend dielectric grease. I've never used this before but do I have to put the grease on all the metal contacts on the connectors? Or just on the outside of the connectors to seal moisture out? Also what precautions do I need to take after installation when I want to clean my engine bay?

I have my ballast inside the headlight cavity and havent had any problems. No exposed wires and no modifications to the headlight cap so no issues with washing the engine bay. My brother has had his installed this way for 60,000 kms with no issues. I have seen several HID kits installed like this and it seems to work fine.

Thanks for the advice! Did you use any of that dielectric grease on the connections?

Does anyone know how to get hids to stop flickering. Already installed a wiring harness and anti-flicker capacitors like suggested

On my 03 I used dielectric great everywhere you wanted metal to metal contact including every plug and on the relay. I did this after I lost a relay due to corrosion.
