I do think I have a bit of a right to bitch though. These are my service records since I bought the truck 9 months ago. gallery_140298_3337_1082826.jpg

That's unfortunate, GM did drop the ball on these trucks.

The worst part is that they're so damn pretty. I like to relate it to a hot gf that cheats on you, its not worth the lost sleep, time to let her go.

Come back to this thread and let us know about that F150.

Most common issues I've seen on that forum is Vibration through gas pedal, warped dash, leaking sunroof, and bad paint. Seemed to be the biggest concerns with the new Fords.

I'm sure she wouldn't mind, she can hang out with my girl while you're busy. They both have something in common, they jealous of the time we spend on our trucks lol

Been dating my girl for 2.5 years, had the truck for around 1 year 3 months, not including time driving, I think I've spent more time with the truck [emoji15]

don't know about yours but my truck never b*tches at me or talks back. I like the way your truck looks Summit, I have something to work off of now thanks

So far I like the truck. A lot of nice things about it that GM doesn't offer.

I did have an issue in the first week where my drivers side door wouldnt latch shut. There's a tsb for it that involves lubing the cable and latch. Dealership scratched up my door panel when working on it so now I'm waiting for the parts to come in.

Other problem I have is the doors aren't aligned right and they stick out a bit at the bottom, so I'm having the body shop take a look at them when I get the door panel replaced.

I miss the remote start from my cellphone. All in all everything about the ford seems to work better. Auto windshield wipers, auto headlights, auto 4wd doesnt make a buzzing noise, LT tires are big upgrade from the SR-A's, transmission shifts flawlessly, push button start works great and best of all the throttle and brakes are very responsive. I went with a 5.0l and compared my my 5.3 sierra it feels like it has a turbo. I test drove a 3.5 ecoboost too and I was torn. I ended up witha 5.0l mainly because its all they had with the options I wanted.

I feel that the ford is way bigger and visibility is superior. I sit up higher and the windows are large and easy to see out of.

The 5.0l is also getting about the same MPG as my 5.3 was while pushing out more HP.

I plan on putting on some bilstein 6112's when they come out and some larger tires. I've ordered some switchback LED boards from Diode Dynamics. When I get them I'm blacking out my headlights and changing the LED strips to white from orange. That is one thing I miss about my GM is the white LED DRL.

The top line F150 offer alot more then the Denali's.

Thats also one of the biggest issues I missed. Doors that come misaligned from the factory, alot of guys have had to get the entire door(s) replaced on those trucks.

NA engines are always the way to go for the long term, 5.0L is the best engine they have. Good choice on that. I think there was a guy that had his 3.5L ecoboost serviced at Capital Ford here and had 4 sets of turbos put on and 2 intercoolers. Anytime you have more moving parts you introduce more unknowns into the equation, its not a good thing.

I think you should keep the yellow leds they look good.

I like the look of the orange, its not bad, but this is better imo.

These guys arent from Winnipeg?

What guys? Are you referring to the video? I'm doing the install myself, just waiting on the replacement led boards from diode dynamics.

I live in Brandon.

ya the video. You link to it making it look like your sending the lights there

There's only two or three videos showing the diode dynamics switchbacks and that's the best one so I used it.

Overall, for someone on the fence, would you suggest the switch? I haven't had any issues with my Sierra other than the following: highway vibration (driving me nuts) shitty ride, poor acceleration, and clunky transmission. Mine seems to be built well but for those reasons I am contemplating making the switch to Ford. I like the F-150's but after owning a few GM's it just feels wrong haha. But I would like to have a better truck and if Ford is the one making them, I will give it heavy consideration.

I'm sure I'll have some issues with this truck too, but I feel Ford does some things 'smarter', you sit higher and feel more in control, where you sit low in a Sierra and feel more like you're in a car(I know mine was lowered, but even when it was stock height). My F-150 feels much larger and brawny. The ride is firmer and more planted in my new truck and the city mpg is a lot better. I feel it's easier to accelerate than my Sierra was, which means I'm not stepping on it as much to get up to speed.

I can't really say if you'd like it or not, maybe go take one for a test drive. After I did that I didn't want to drive my Sierra, it felt shaky, low and car like and sluggish.

Thanks for the reply! Yeah I am looking forward to test driving one. I think I haven't yet because if I do drive one I will wind up buying it so trying to prolong that!
