Need opinions on window tint

My truck has the factory smoked back windows, which is roughly 20%. I will be getting 20% on the two front doors, and an additional 35% on the rear doors and rear glass. Nothing on the front windshield.

I went to two local shops, one will do all 5 windows, using a dyed film, for $140. The other, uses the better Llumar metallized film, and it would be $275 for all 5 windows.

My question is, is the Llumar tint really worth double the price?

I have the Llumar CTX 15% film on just the front. I love it. I spent the extra just because cheap quality tint is worthless. If I may ask, why the additional 35% on the rear? If you are trying to match the exterior look to the rear, then the front with the 15% CTX matches very close...it was better than I was expecting.

I wanted to go a little darker just because I didn't really think 20% was that dark. I had limo on my last truck, but didn't want to go that dark again. I feel the stock back windows aren't as dark as I'd like them with the factory tint

I get all my trucks tinted to match the back. I go to the same store every time, and I just tell to use the best.

Is 20% up front the best match to the rear from factory?

15% is a better match to the factory tinted windows.

Be careful with the metalized stuff, my guy accidentally put it on my fronts on my Tahoe, and it reflected, and looked different than the backs. Didn't match, and looked bad, he apologized, said it was a dumb mistake. I do 35% over the backs, and 20% on the fronts. Yes the backs are darker, but I like it

I'm probably going to do 35 in front. 50 is the legal limit for fronts here in MN and 15 will get you pulled over. I had 20 on my 97x and got pulled over the day I had it installed.

Ohh and with a 5% strip and a 35% sheet over my whole windshield its almost impossible for a thief to look inside at what you have

Yes the Llumar tint will keep the heat out and won't be as warm in your vehicle during the summer. It will also protect your interior
