I did 5% on my front and 5% on all my rears to all for $170. I live in Delaware, yes it's illegal, but some much better to drive in during the day time.

I had 20% on my front only on my '05 Silverado, it was close, but really didn't match up.

Go dark, you will love it

The quality of tint makes a big difference when looking out from inside of the truck. I have 5% 3M on my fronts and I never have a problem seeing out.

My buddy went to the same tint shop, but went with the house brand 5%. I drove his truck and seeing out is more difficult and when you are heading into the sun it's almost impossible to see out.

Moral of the story... You get what you pay for.

LLumar is the best! Have had it for years and it is the best tint there is. The 3M is good but I like the color of llumar better, I have double 5 percent all around and 30 on the windshield

My tint guy uses Llumar. I've got 15% on the fronts and an additional 15% on top of the factory tint on the rear glass. The windshield has 40% plus an additional 5% strip. I love the contrast on a white vehicle and am even more pleased with the lower interior temperatures when it sits in a parking lot all day while I'm at work.

I'm leaning toward a reputable shop here that does Llumar metallized, all five windows for $275.

Holy cat poop! And I thought my windows were dark! Can you even see out the sides at night, if you're not in town?

I doubt he can see anything out the side windows even if he is in town! Double 5 is insane

If the reputable shop is MobileOne, definitely go with them. They do really great work and have the truck sealed off from the outside world when they are tinting. By this I mean most shops just pull it into a garage and leave the garage door 1/4 open so you get abunch of dirt an dust blown in and likely ends up between your tint and your window. MobileOne closes it off so no dirt or dust can get to it. And they make sure your windows are perfectly clean before tinting.

They did my truck the first time around when I got 35% over all but the windshield. Then I went to another, cheaper shop, for my windshield since, as you know, we need a new inspection sticker every 2 years so I got some cheap film put on my shield for like $90-100.

The reputable shop was Prestige on Causeway. I actually just made an appointment to get Llumar CTX ceramic done at Mobile Tint and Audio on Causeway by Lakeside mall. I know they have a garage that they pull the truck into when the do the install. They have the film in 50%, 35%, and 15%. I think I am going to go with 15% on the front two windows, and 35% over the factory rears and rear glass, with nothing on the front windshield. The price is $360, plus they had a $50 off coupon on there website, so it will be $310.

Make sure that they close up the door. If they are anything like the other Mobile Tint and Audio location (on Williams across from harbor seafood) then they won't close the door all the way.

It is not as bad as you would think but it is very dark, I have OCD about being able to see in the windows of y vehicles and one layer of 5 was not enough. It's nice to be in direct sunlight at noon and still not being able to see in at all.

I have 15 up front and 5 over the back windows. Had 5 up front and rear on my last car and it was annoying driving at night. 15 in front is about perfect for both cop harassment and ability to see at night. 24919b999bdd772e30b05127f968a4eb.jpg
