Hopefully so!

I called GMC today and was even more confused before I called. Seems like every time I call, I get someone from India. First, it's the bogus VIN they gave me. Now, this other person with broken English confused me by saying that my truck is on its way to Mexico which will be at distribution April 23rd.

Huh???

I tried asking, about what hell he was talking about and all I get was "Sorry sir, I don't know anything else. Please call your dealer."

Update:

I called GM today and complained about having to talk with several people that has very broken English, which was difficult to communicate with. They found me someone that was helpful (spoke and understood English), was able to explain to me more about what is going on.

My truck is shipping from Mexico to a distribution center in Westfield, Tx by April 23rd. I lived in Houston area all my life and had no clue there was Westfield, Tx; which is about 30 mins north of downtown.

After a few mins explaining the original VIN they gave me was screwed up (9BGKS4 blah blah blah), he put me on hold and came back with the correct VIN.

So long story short, by April 25th weekend, ole ConnRadd here should be in his new GMC.

Thank you Toliver (Todd) for giving me Adrian's contact info. He was able to connect me to someone who speaks and understands English.

Sad... Absolutely sad.

Now the dealer is saying 27-28th. So the big question, am I better to take the truck at the end of April or try to push it to May????

Could always be worse... My order which was submitted on March 5th I'm being told still doesn't even have a scheduled build date. So now I'm figuring middle to late May before I see mine. The tuck has been approved for build but it hasn't gone any further than that. I should mention that I even work at the dealership in the parts department so the salesman I have it ordered with gets bugged every time he walks by. lol

Going to quiz my salesman and see. They might need the numbers for April and might swing a better deal??? Be nice to know if May offers better incentives. The way 1500s are selling, GM been holding back on their strong incentives. Ford is having delays on their production ramp up, allowing GM to reap the rewards, mainly in fleet/commercial.

Not sure where I put my order number. I got the WT1500 Double Cab with the WT convenience package, Spray in bed liner, 5.3L (obv.) Tow equipment, upgraded IO4 stereo, being that its the WT, I opted for the carpeted floor, since its an option. lol. and I went with the Blackout package, which I think is the biggest hold up... Basically before the rebates, my 34K work truck would have been apx. 43K but the rebates helped with that a lot. lol

ConnRadd for the last few weeks I have been following your posts on here because our orders are very similar. I ordered around the same date you did, it was built the 13th, and I will receive it next week sometime.

I was getting really impatient wondering why it wasn't built or when would I get it. And because I am too timid to call and bug my sales person I just kinda told my husband "It will get here when it gets here" and then internally scream with frustration! And then I saw your posts and knew we were in the same boat so I just figured my order would be similar to yours. So now that it's almost done I just wanted to thank you for helping me get through these VERY rough weeks.

Also, I would wait until May 1 to pick it up. I have some insider information that advised me to wait as well.
