I really like those body molds on the side. I am going to add that to my list for my double cab. Looks great man!

Thanks, they look exactly like I was hoping for.

Update to the build and my rash of bad luck. Not soon after beating cancer my father was diagnosed with cancer, but he luckily is now also in remission. Not even a month after that my wife decided to go have an affair with a guy from work (who btw has a pregnant wife and two kids) and divorce me. Given my rash of bad luck over the past two years I decided to cheer myself up and I bought the truck a present. I just ordered an Eforce supercharger from Blackbear Performance with their own custom tune. I'll update when I get that installed along with the Borla S type exhaust and Hellwig rear sway bar.

Sorry about the wife. Good luck to you and your father.

Keep up the work on the truck. It looks great. I love following its' progress

Sounds like you got rid of more than one cancer! Sorry to hear about the bad luck, but sounds like you've hit your "3", should be all good things from here!

Got a couple more things done tonight. First this one was long overdue!

In anticipation of the blower I installed what I call the "fun" switch. Its hard to see, but i took out the blank curved part to the left of the tc switch and installed a toggle switch there. I cut the circuit board behind it and fit this switch in there. This switch is wired inline with the drivers side front wheel speed sensor. What it does when I hit the switch is cut the signal from the wheel speed sensor to the bcm. This causes a fault and the computer turns off traction control and stabilitrak permanently. Unlike using the factory switch, neither will turn back on at 35mph. The dash does light up and you get a warning, but that switch is just there for those occasions when I want to have fun. Flip the switch back so it completes the circuit and the system senses it turns tc and stabilitrack back on and all your warning lights go away. I tested this by just unugging the wheel speed sensor and going for a test drive.

More progress this weekend, got the hellwig sway bar and borla exhaust on. I painted both rear sections with my favorite paint, rustoleum universal satin black. It took some finagling to get the sway bar and exhaust to work. I had to modify the mounting for the sway bar and shift the spare tire, but it all fits and now she sounds like a proper sport truck! In combo with my sticky summer tires the truck will now defy what you think 6,000lbs should be able to do in the twisties. On one corner was able to nail the throttle just past the apex and controlably drift the rest of the way through. I have a feeling after the blower I'm going to need to address the brakes.

I wonder what it could be.... it's an Eforce supercharger alright.. just not the right one, just my luck.. I will say though when I called Blackbear Performance they had their supplier ship the correct one out within 24hrs. People make mistakes, but they were very responsive and quick to correct it. Definitely liking their approach to business so far.

Made progress on my quest to remove chrome from the truck

Replaced the emblems with black ones and dipped the headlight trim.

Looks great man. How hard was it to install the hellwig sway bar?

Thanks, the sway bar was hard only because I had to modify the mounting becuase of the dual exhaust. If it wasn't for that, it was very straightforward.
