difference in size between silverado

Just curious, is there much of a difference between lets say a 1995 c/k 1500 and a 2010 Silverado extended cab inside the cab? Reason I ask is I am considering purchasing a 1995 c/k 1500 ext cab and just want to make sure I will be able to fit a rear facing and someday front facing car seat in the back...

Not sure if 1995 has 3rd door or not. I would say the 2010 has a little more room inside the cab. The nice thing about the 2010 is both rear doors open 180 degrees.

I have fit 3 kids carseats (front facing) in the back of my 97 no problem. 1 rear facing is okay if you put in middle of rear seat. A crew cab would be ideal but the extended cab will get the job done.

Don't know first hand but pretty sure the '95 will be smaller inside then a 2010. Over the years GM has been adding to the size of the cabs. The best way to figure out car seat fitting would be to take a car seat and try it in the truck prior to purchase. That's what I did when I started having kids personally. My first "with child" truck was an '04 Sonoma crew cab and wasn't sure if it would fit either so I test fitted it. It was a tad tight fitting rear facing but front facing was fine. Front facing should work in just about any full size ext/crew cab.

The OBS extra cab is quite a bit smaller than the 2010s....That said, it is still adequate for child car seats.....The 3rd door was an option, starting in 96, I believe. It does help a lot

There is quite a bit of difference in the cab sizes from the 95 and the 10 models.

I had a 98 extended cab (no third door), and, while the car seat would fit in the back, it was nearly impossible to get the baby in and buckled in the front facing car seat. The rear facing car seat was even worse. The front seats wouldn't slide forward enough, not to mention the number of times her head would hit the door frame while putting her in or taking her out. Once she got to where she could get in by herself, it wasn't a problem.

I didn't even think about that, it would seem almost a must to have a third door to pull off baby seats in the back. I'd hate to try to put in and take a baby out with just the front doors...UNHAPPY baby...

My 97 has the 3rd door....The passenger side seat also slides about a foot or so forward when tilted. Did the non 3rd door trucks not have this sliding feature?
