Fords solution for speeding

Regarding fuel economy while speeding...I've noticed on my 07 Denali, 02 t/a, and a rental 15 impala that they seem to get rated fuel economy at a couple of speeds. One being ~72 and the other about 80. Between those speeds there's about an 3-4 mpg drop off and above 80 it falls pretty quickly.

The phone issue is really becoming ridiculous. What is the problem with getting a good headset? And many vehicles have built in blue tooth connectivity and you can make or answer a call via the steering wheel and the mic is in the headliner above the driver's head. Or, as I prefer to do when I am driving... let the call go to message and if it is important they can leave a message. I really don't want to take BS calls when I am driving anything.

And I think that goes to the speed issue. many folks just aren't paying attention to how fast they are going. Same as they are not paying attention that their off ramp is coming up. Daily I have dozens of vehicles that will almost take my nose off trying to make the off ramp because their focus was on something altogether different than driving.

I use Bluetooth in the Jeep and have an earpiece for work since I'm always in rentals and can't be bothered to re-pair the phone each week. Love it, as long as it works right I don't know why people don't use it.

I have no problem with how fast anyone drives, as long as it is not putting anyone else in jeopardy. Speed, in an of itself, does not kill, else everyone at NASCAR would be dead. The problem is the interaction between the vehicles. I usually run around 65 on most freeways I ever travel on. I stay to the far right as much as possible to be out of everyone's way, and mind my own business. I could give a rip is anyone wants to go 90. Don't waste a minute of my time worrying about it. That is, as long as they are not weaving around traffic and endangering anyone else. In my semi truck, If they run into me, well, they have to get thru 53 foot of trailer with about 45,000 lb of freight in it to get to me. Good luck. And with my 2500HD, sure they are going to mess me up, but I probably will come out on the better end of the deal than they will. The Darwin effect will come into play and they most likely will be taken out of the gene pool.
