Stiff Suspension

Um i did. Did you? This isn't about any and all silverados. It is specifically about the high country and the Z60 suspension. Don't get all big and bad on your keyboard. So maybe you don't know EXACTLY what you are WRITING about at all. Your truck looks like a regular silverado or possibly a Z71 but not a high country. Why don't you read before you post....

Anyway I am done with you.

As to the person who started this post. You own a high country and they have the Z60 suspension. It is stiffer than other 1500 silverado suspensions. I will try to find a video i saw a while back that shows it vs a regular silverado on the same road.

Relax..........

While driving my 2015 silverado 6.2L over the bump the front suspension stiff and it seem if it's jumping.

anyone has the same issue or it's normal?

Post 11 specifically

Well never mind. His link no longer works. It was a video of a 14 z71 and a 14 high country on the same stretch of road at the same speed. The video in the high country was super shaky and the z71 was fairly smooth. Maybe someone can find it again.

I would if i wasn't already. Just addressing his ignorance. I'm good. My posting was strictly to help the OP. He stepped in and wanted to talk about his camaro and silverado. Neither are a high country silverado. Just trying to get him on track. Talk about what is pertinent to this subject. None if his posts were.

I'm glad you're done.

So much for my trying to help the OP.

Well I think this is the first time I have seen a thread turned to crap on this forum. What a shame.

Agreed and sorry i was part of it. Been on many forums and part of the draw here to me was the lack of bs. I wasn't trying to have any issues. Just point out the discussion was specifically about a high country.

Back on topic.

Would standard SLT also come with something else other than rancho shocks? I regret these shocks :( All Terrain i have has Z71 pkg....

Whatever it is in the base model of the shuttle at the dealer, nice and sponge ride :D

Anyone wanna trade their base shocks with mine? XD

I dont know the part numbers, but there are 3 suspension codes, z71, which you have, z60, and z85. The latter 2 are no cost options on the truck i believe. My froend has Z60 on his 2014 SLT and the only time it feels stiff is on rough roads.

The Z71 option gets you the Rancho shocksw, the Z85 and Z60 get you the standard GM shocks, there are only 2 shock part numbers that I see and the ride difference between the Z60 and Z85 is in the spring rates.

One of those pkgs gets you the larger sway bar than the Z71. Z60? I think that was what was on my 08 Vmax.

As well as the LTZ, sway bars only change size when going from 2 wheel drive to 4 wheel drive, not which suspension package you order for this generation of trucks

In a few years the only replacement bar available will be the 36mm just like prior years
