2014 Motor Mounts

I have a vibe issue so I crawled under my truck to inspect. The transfer case at the drive shaft entry can be manually moved back and forth by hand. Then I checked the motor mounts and both seem to be leaking some sort of black grease. I think both left and right side mounts are NG. I then looked up the mounts on the interweb and found there are two right and left sides listed. One cat# for the right side for 2014 (20917353) and one right side for 2014-2015 (23466347).

Makes me wonder if the 2014 mounts were NG so they came out with an improved motor mount??

Anyone run across this same issue?

I truly believe the motor mounts might be behind this whole vibration problem. No exaggeration, I can move the entire transfer case and rear prop shaft with one hand. The transmission mount is soft rubber and I can see the deflection. Under load, the entire transfer case, transmission and engine will flop all over the place if one of the mounts is loose or the fluid leaked out.

Why has GM developed a new set of motor mounts for the 15/14 trucks? The original 2014 mounts leak and they had a problem with them. Tonite, I'm gently jacking both sides of the engine to see how much movement I get.

Is there anything on these trucks that's not defective or at least a suspected defect?

Most everything, especially since very few people have issues.
