Good Price for Xpel?

There is a company in Michigan that will do Xpel on a 2015 Sierra for $1100. Below is the email I received after asking for a quote on their website. It seems a bit high. I got this company off of Xpel’s website and they are considered a high volume dealer. They also have a decent website with plenty of photos of Porsches and Lamborghinis. The vibe I get is they are high quality, however it seems like a full front-end job should be closer to $800. Would a more quality install really be worth that extra 300? Also this doesn't even include headlights or grille. Thanks.

I would find someone cheaper... I got the 6 inch hood strip and the painted section of my bumper done for 280. Installer did a great job

That's not a full front end. A full front end is all the painted panels such as the entire hood and full fenders. On my Denali I had the Xpel Ultimate installed this way. If you do partial panels, the dirt/dust gather that the edge of the film. The firm I chose to install it did the front end painted parts, fog and headlights, full front fenders, full hood, driver side door jam where my feet tend to drag as I get in or exit and the section between the windshield and the sunroof. This cost me $1700 cash. The half treatment was going to cost $900. My installer also said doing chrome was not a good idea as the film dulls the shine.

Worth every penny if you want to save your paint. My guy didn't even use a plotter, all free hand!

The clear bra on my truck was also installed free-hand with some folded edges (the partial hood coverage has only one visible seam). Whatever the brand, insist on *NOT* 3M. My installer uses Premium Shield which is hydrophobic and very shiny/reflective.

They are a dedicated paint protection shop. They deal with Ferrari, Porsche, McLaren, SEMA cars, etc. They seem to be well recommended by exotic owners and look like dedicated professionals, and I like their website.

 

But is the price premium worth it? They seem a bit high but I am one to pay for the best.

 

They are in the Ann Arbor/Plymouth area. I am closer to Lansing, so it's already an hour and a half drive for me. Dayton is out of the picture for an install.

I've seen a bad install job and I feel it's worth the extra money for someone that knows how to do it right. If the guy is doing all those high-end vehicles, I bet he knows what he's doing.

My local guy used a plotter and didn't know what he was doing. Called me after 3 or 4 hours and told me to pick up my truck, he couldn't install it. I ended up driving 7 hours round trip for who I felt was the best installer in Los Angeles. I couldn't he happier.

He is a mobile installer, but the place you mentioned might be closer. He also deals with high end vehicles. I've seen him cutting the film free hand on a bumper of an Aventador.

Op- if that is Larry millens place, he is excellent. My father in law had the front end of his Camry done and it came out perfect.
