Removal of factory mud guards

Recommended Posts

Has anybody removed the black mud guards that are behind the front tires and the ones that are in front and behind the rear wheels. I currently have bushwacker flares and I was required to remove them and I no longer have them. I was curious on what it looks like without them. Please post a picture if you have done this.

I had to remove mine since I was bashing them too much offroad and they cracked. Had a bit of metal damage too since they are rigid. I don't have any pictures handy since I'm at work. I think it looks good without them, there are little plastic rock protector things under them. Easy to remove, then just had to use some rubbing compound to cleanup the paint underneath. Taking them off does leave some holes they drilled in the wheel well. Come to think of it I still need to paint those probably.

The little flap in front of the rear wheel I believe is for air deflection, I left it on.

Couldn't you just look at your own truck to see what it looks like??? You said you no longer have them.

I have fender flares on and I really don't want to have to take them all off and see what it looks like.
