Tips for increasing throttle response

I just pull the negative battery cable for 10 minutes. You might as well let the engine relearn as well.

My past 6 GM's would all get to a point I didn't like how they were running and I would do a reset.

Now I just pop the cable off every now and then. I usally do it when I know the summer gas is back out just ot get the thing to burn gas right again.

It will get back there but I can get it back in a day or two vs a week or more.

Exactly, I had unhooked my battery when I was getting my bumpers painted and my throttle response is way better now!

Yeah you can definitely unhook the battery. The fuse pull allows you to reset the transmission without resetting everything on the truck though. Either will work in the end for the transmission/throttle response fix.

I jammed a piece of plastic behind my pedal today to reduce flex and it helped. I then spent all night crafting a home made airaid MIT and now my throttle response is night and day difference. I barely have to touch the pedal. I'll post some pics up after I paint my concoction. I found it really hard to pay over $200 to get an MIT up here in canada. Hard to justify that much for a plastic tube.

That sounds awesome yeah please post some pictures when you can. A lot of people feel the same way about the cost of catch cans....

It's pretty sketchy, but it gives me an idea of what an MIT will be like if I can ever get a good deal on one.
