New Magnaflow!!! Pics!!! Video!!!&

Alright guys, so I bought a Magnaflow for my wife's '03 Yukon XL with the 5.3L. I had an '06 GMC 2500HD that I put a Magnaflow12599 3" dual in dual out muffler on and I loved it. So when I went searching for the right muffler of course I went back to Magnaflow. I looked up their cat back kit for the Yukon and it was just under $600. A little steep for my wallet but I also had some rusting issues on the OEM pipes from the past 12 years of Colorado winters. I needed to get at least a tailpipe. So I started my search on Summit racing where I got my last muffler from and found that dynomax sells new 3" mandrel bent exhaust pipes vehicle specific ( YAY! ). I also found a new Magnaflow for the Yukon. Same series as the first one but a PN of 12589 3" single center in and offset single out. I ordered a new intermediate pipe Walker/Dynomax 54163 and a new tailpipe Walker/Dynomax 55114. Altogether the order with 2 3" band clamps came to $300.17 plus 17.50 for oversize shipping charges for the pipes. Once everything got in I torn into it. For a couple days prior I soaked the flange bolts in PB blaster to aid in removal. Everything bolted up perfect and the hangers were all welded in the right places. All in all and great combo especially for almost $300 in savings!! I also reused my old tip for now and will have the muffler welded in soon. Also with Magnaflows they need some time to "break in" so the sound will change over the next 6 months a little bit. So here are some photos and Video Links!!!

Sounds great, man!

Nice and deep without being loud and obnoxious.

Great job on the install and write up too!

Don't know how I missed this the first time, but good job. Good catch on the dynomax pipe, definitely better than buying a catback or getting it bent.

I have had the 12589 on my pickup for 2 years and I'm very happy with it. Quiet most of the time, but it definitely sings with some throttle.

Good quality exhaust and a nice sound, HOWEVER the exhaust system exceeds the value of the vehicle.

Yeah Gurrtz not sure what exactly you are getting at. I know it's not a 2013 Denali like you have but it still is a very reliable SUV and was in need of getting the exhaust redone. And also Kstruckcountry is dead on $300 is not a lot and obviously my Yukon is worth more.

Oh and I'm also in the process of removing the body molding. It's a B on a 12 yr old vehicle!
