another XM question involving FM modulator

Recommended Posts

Okay, I got done routing my wores and pulled the stock head unit out of the dash to connect the RF modulator.  The antennae plugs are not the same size.

:jester:

The one on the truck is of a smaller length and diameter than the one that came with the XM unit.  Tell me what I need.  Are there adapters that I didn't get with my unit?  Do I need a different RF unit.

All I want to do is get it installed for a trip I'm taking next Friday.  I appreciate any help.

Thanks,

Brent Roth

You just need adapters fo rthe antenna wires. Be sure to get both male and female so you can attach the antenna into the modulator too.

Cool, is that something Radio Shack should have?

Heck no!  Walk in their door and they "....have questions, YOU have the answers..."   :jester:

Go to Autozone or any other large auto parts house.  Just tell them you need the GM antenna connector adapters.  Fairly cheap.
