Check your Ubolts

If anyone notices some rear end noise I would suggest checking your ubolts. I do a lot of towing so I was under my truck yesterday checking my bilstein shocks and Timbrens. I had my torque wrench out so I checked the ubolts for the hell of it. None of the bolts were tighter then 30ft/lbs. If my specs are right they should be 59 first pass and then 130. Snugged them up to 60ft/lbs.

No 59 ft lb then 130 degrees not 130ft lb sorry

I almost lost the rear end with admin in my truck on sunday. Hit a bump and it sounded like the driveshaft slammed into the trans. Pulled over, lost the piece on top of the right leaf pack, one nut missing, and the other 3 loose as hell.

How do you like your timbrens

I have run them on my last 2 trucks. I like them. No maintenance and when not loaded ride is stock. With 700 lbs on the hitch they engage but don't compress all that much.

Damn makes wonder what else is loose on my truck. Maybe the Mexicans who assembled my truck need to work out more. J/K and not being racial here!

I've noticed my leaf springs are shifting left to right. Taking it in for service next week to have them look at it.

One of my leaf packs has a wonky leaf. Had my dealer look at it...said thats normal. lol

I bought a set of leaf shackles to hopefully get them back in line. Gonna be delivered today.

Someone needs to check the centering pin and u bolts to make sure they are tight first, if it continues. May need to add a spring clamp, not a common thing but I have seen it done. There is no danger of driving the truck,

I have a 2014 Silverado with your 6” kit. I’ve noticed my rear leaf springs are shifting left and right some as far as an inch ( your add a spring ) is this normal for them to shift sideways? I’m planning on taking it back to the dealer that did the install (Jim Glover Chevrolet) in Tulsa, OK. I just didn’t know if it was a do not drive it fear. The U bolts are very tight.
