Driver side mirror shakes

I think someone did not realize this truck has power mirrors and broke an internal component. While driving things in that mirror are blurry.

I called local dealer. They said that mirror can not be fixed or replaced. It is a 2006 Silverado (hybrid).

I just have a hard time believing that it can not be replaced.

Most likely the entire mirror has been replaced with an aftermarket brand. I replaced my mirrors on my tacoma with OE aftermarket replacements. While they looked the same on the outside, the inside components were a lot different and not as high quality. They did the same thing as your drivers mirror, they would shake and vibrate while driving around, making it hard to see out of them.

Looking at parts for your truck on rock auto it appears there are lots of mirror options to choose from.

What kind of mirror is on it? two glass towing or single regular mirror?

The dealership that told you mirrors can't be replaced or fixed are either liars, or have no clue how to do the job.

There are several different makes of mirrors that fit your truck. I would replace it with an OEM GM part because they are usually the best quality.

It is just a regular small mirror.

I guess I'll find a more competent dealership. I want an OEM replacement. Thank guys and gals.
