The opt 7 led fog lights are really really bright. As you can see some light leaks out upwards more but still provides a good light. The light that is leaked upwards comes to a point in the center and does not flare out where on coming traffic would be. Even though they are 5k they are bluer then the Sierra led running light not by a lot but still are. they still look great. From what i have read about the vled xb bulb i think that the opt 7 are the way to go .

My OPT7 lights are still working flawlessly and I'm in AZ with 105-110 degree weather, hopefully they stay working great.

The only problem I had with the install was that the polarity adaptors plugs were backwards for our trucks, meaning the negative and positive were flipped so the positive wire from the stock harness went into a negative lead on the adaptor and back out to a positive lead on the led harness. All I had to do was cut off the little tabs that lock the clips together to make sure red is to red and it works perfect.

This shows what I mean, you actually need to make sure that they are the other way around and red matches up to red.

Driving back from Yellowstone last Tuesday night noticed that my Opt low beams remain ON when the high beams are turned on.

No complaints really because its additional light but it does look weird. This wouldnt cause issues with the amount of power being exerted though would it?

On silverado, when the high beams are activated, the pure beams always remain on... I plan on getting done for the high beams sometime

May have been answers but to adjust the low beams down do u turn the scre clockwise or counter clockwise?

Clockwise lowers them IIRC. Just watch the beam move as you adjust. It took 5+ full turns to move mine back down close to where stock cutoff was before the switch.

Alright thanks I'll try that and see if people stop flashing there high beams at me. Is your truck lifted or stock height?

Had to send my OPT7 LED's back. The light output was weak in my sierra. The color and close range light was great but the throw was horrible. As far as you guys having issues with them coming on. Its the stock plug, its not deep enough for the OPT7 plug. You can either shave the opt 7 plug a bit or like I did, buy new plugs that plug from the factory harness to the OPT 7 harness. I had some left over plugs from the few retrofit's I've done and both worked like a charm but for the life of me I could not get the OEM plug to work.

That is correct.

I didn't realize you were looking for a review using Projectors.

so the leds are really good in the NON-PROJECTORS? this worries me bc I have NON-PROJECTORS and have heard HIDs are terrible in them.

I also returned my OPT7 headlights. The color was great but the light output wasn't considerably better than stock. Got a morimoto HID kit from TRS but have yet to install it.

Yes, I love mine. I think they produce great light and throw a strong beam.

I am also running the OPT7 led's, haven't had an issue with heat at all and I'm in AZ with it reaching 115 degrees lately.

I also recently adjusted my lights some this weekend, I did 4 turns on each light. It really helped and they almost seem brighter now since they are not pointing in the air, I'll probably do another couple of turns.

Here is a pic, crappy pic, of my low beam headlights and fog lights on.

Same experience in my LT reflector headlight, before they failed. The light output was poor, just like a PNP HID...really bright foreground, glare, and poor throw. Started work on my FX-R retrofit last night.

A lot of the Amazon reviews seem questionable.
