Painting rear wheel well aerospat air deflector

Anyone else notce the plastic air deflector in front of the rear tire is all chewed up. Mine looks like it was sand blasted has a very rough surface after 1 year. When i wash/dry the truck the microfiber actually gets caught on the rough surface and leaves lint on the plactic. Has anyone painted theres. I want to maybe paint mine with bedliner paint or something tough and durable flat or satin black.

Seems like a good use for Linex or similar. My aero chines are in a cabinet in the garage. They won't fit with the flares. I've been thinking about replicating them to fit with the flares and wider tires. Even a flat piece should perform as well, as long as it's stiff enough that it doesn't flutter.

i removed mine on both my 14 and 15. never knew why they were there. aerodynamics huh? silly. they look horrible.
