Another Mirror Question

Hey guys how's it going? Wife and I are in the process of trading my motorcycle and her yukon in for a new sierra denali 2500 diesel. She will be driving it for about a year. For her, the small standard mirrors and the choice. For me, the towing mirrors will be my preference.

Most of the trucks we see on the lots have the big mirrors.

Does anyone have any experience going FROM the tow mirrors TO the small mirrors? I would keep the tow mirrors on the shelf until the truck becomes mine again haha.

Thanks

I test drove both and way preferred the standard mirrors. But I typically do far more hauling and than towing...

Larger mirrors make things to the side and rear more visible. Blind spots are smaller.

Fully understand the advantages and disadvantages of the towing mirrors. Only getting the truck if my wife is comfortable driving it. The small mirrors are the only way this will work for her. But instead of getting a truck with small mirrors and swapping to large I'd like to go the other way. Just wanting to see if anyone has done this. Thanks

Inside door panel needs to opened up to access wiring. Not sure how much is involved with the new model.

Does she simply prefer the aesthetics of the car-size mirrors? The tow mirrors are so superior to the regular mirrors in visibility that I wouldn't consider using anything else. When you're backing up (or even changing lanes) in a 22' long vehicle, why sacrifice a valuable safety aid if you don't have to? You have no plans to ever haul cargo, pull a trailer, etc.? (If so, why get a 3/4 ton pickup truck)?
