Muffler

I'm upgrading my muffler on my 2006 Silverado LS WT 2500 HD and have 3" dual in/out exhaust that Y's into 3.5" behind muffler. I've narrowed down to dynomax ultraflo X muffler or dual cherry bomb glass packs. I chose these two for ease of replacement and low cost. I don't want to change current exhaust piping.

 

Any thoughts are welcome

You can also get the flowmaster big block muffler for your truck. That is the setup I got for my truck. I love the sound and have had many people also comment positively on it.

I couldn't find a 3" dual in/out. Where'd you get yours?

It is marketed as the 8.1L big block muffler, but it fits our truck as the exhaust is the same for both trucks. I put mine on right after I got my truck, so I forgot the muffler number, but call flowmaster, get the part #, then call Summit or Jegs and order it from them. I hope that helps.

I also went with the flow master big block muffler and had it installed in place of factory muffler using the same stock 3.5 pipe out the back and it sounds deep and smooth. I too have had several comments on how good it sounds.
