I know, I haven't posted on here yet. I have been reading and learning for the last 3 months, but had to share.

Also, I know this is an article on the new ford f-150. However, the first thing I thought when I saw this, was it looks and feels a lot like my 1500 Sierra.

What do you guys think?

There was a discussion on another forum about this. Almost 90% of the people said that they did not found any similarity between these two.

I was in the 10% :D

I don't care how nice it is, It's STILL a Ford :nonod: .

The hood really did it for me. It has the humps with the dip in the middle. It's not pronounced as the GM trucks, but looks like they copied it. Except that Chevy has already move on with the 2016 Silverado :).

I also thought the interior looked more GM layout then it has in the past.

At the rate truck and SUV prices are increasing, I think I'm going to hit the point eventually where I'm driving a Hyundai.....

A buddy of mine asked a salesman at a local Chevy dealer how anyone affords the new Suburban and Tahoe and the gus said basically that most people just lease them. That's not very financially wise if you ask me.

absolutely agree. for both parties actually. gm makes money on leases there is no doubt but pretty sure they don't want that much inventory turning back in 3 years from now. the car manufactures are creating a problem that will come to head sooner rather than later i believe. people can't continue this trend, imo. just looked at a loan calculator, loaded tahoe is 71k, and if you finance 65k for 75 months at 2.9 your pmt is $950/month. that is crazy. almost double my mortgage!!!!!!

Yeah the prices are absolutely getting out of hand. By the time I'm ready to upgrade again, I'll be paying $70k anyways at this rate...

Where I live my mortgage is bit over that, but 950 for any vehicle payment is ridiculous! I do live in the Pacific Northwest on a island so homes tend to be a bit more pricey. I looked at the small tahoes for my wife when she was looking for new full size vehicle and I laughed myself out of there when I saw the price.

I think it'll take two purchase cycles. People will get enough on trade-in to finance one more time, then will be squeezed dry. 2015+5+5 ==> 2025 or so. Then there will be a few years of recession for the auto industry where the few who do buy buy small, and then the whole dance begins again.

When I worked at the local dealer I thought someone paying $68K for an F250 Platinum Powerstroke was high. Other than trying to force the Ecoboost on everybody in everything, the only real bad thing about Ford (at least when it comes to trucks) is that you have to go to the higher trims just for normal things that you can get in a mid-level trim in a GM or Dodge.

GM does it too.... for example it's difficult to get a self dimming rear view mirror in an LT.

I Think my Sierra SLE is every bit as nice as that high dollar ford. I love my stitched dash and black interior

My 98 had that, but it's not a big deal to me since I rarely use the rearview mirror and I don't use it at all when backing up. My LT does have heated sideview mirrors which I'd much rather have. Plus the dimming rearview mirror in my 98 didn't work to well in my opinion. Almost to the point where I couldn't tell if it even dimmed or not. I have a 2LT with all-star/convenience package. It's well optioned without having everything like parking sensors and the rear sliding window. My truck actually has everything I want without having anything I don't want or care for so I got real lucky that it was a stock truck and not special order. The only thing I hate is the 3.08 gears.

But, Ford is the worst with having to get an upper trim for things you can get in a mid-level trim with GM or Dodge. Ford also has the worst interior.
