I also posted this in another forum but thought. It get better answers here

Just bought a 15 sierra and need to get seat covers as my lab will tear up the leather and get it dirty quick. Is there a good brand or material for dogs and dog hair?

Looking at carid for their coverkings or camotrucksests for their sportsman camo covers. Both are Realtree Max5

I just purchased the tan Carhartt seat covers by Covercraft for my front seats and absolutely love them. They seem to be pretty heavy duty and are nicely tailored.... I've got three kids and at some point I will definitely be purchasing another set of Carhartt's for the rear seats. Currently I've been making due with towels under the kiddy seat. My only concern for recommending them to you is that I have cloth seats and I don't know whether they would eventually abrade leather seats as they are unlined seat covers.

*Edit - We have two golden retrievers and so far their hair doesn't seem to get trapped in the seat cover fabric - a vacuuming and a lint brush takes care of it pretty easily.

I wasnt aware carhartt had seat covers. Can't go wrong with that brand so I may look into it if i decide to go from camo. Thanks for reply

Cover craft Seat Savers

Are these pretty easy to clean up dog hairs? My dog sheds like crazy.

I have one of those in the car but it doesn't really help as much as Id like. If I cant find something that will work better and help me clean dog hair easily may just keep using it.

I have German Shorthaired Pointers. They clean up descent. I don't get to worked up about it though.

I have two golden retrievers myself and I just flip the seats up and they ride on the floor of my double cab. I put an old bed sheet down on the floor, tie one between the assist handles to keep them from slobbering on my center console and then one on the seat bottom. I figure their safer being on the floor if we were to wreck. I would prefer to have travel crates tied down in the bed but, I don't have a cap.

Thanks, took hi. For a ride today and he liked all the space on the floor with seats folded up. Think I'll get something to put down over seats like you guys posted just to try to keep his hair from gettin all over

Moving blankets work pretty well. It will give him a little padding under-foot and the dog hair won't stick to it.

Kurgo makes a lot of good options for "Active Dogs" and Dog owners. I purchased a "hammock" style seat cover for my lab/pit mix very similar to Luster's pic (to be honest i think that one looks nicer". Another thing too if you want your dog to be your co-pilot they also make door covers that protect your door upholstery in case your dog is kinda active and likes to put his paws on the arm rest. Door Guards

P.S. most the negative reviews on the door guards are people that cant get the plastic clips down between the door and the window. So as always your mileage may vary.
